Sir Kay, Sir William and Sir Walter all agreed that this was a bad day for the nation. It was the end of their lives and they did not have to live in their graves, because they had fought for their country so well. When the four knights got back to London the following morning the people were there to welcome them. The next day, when Sir Kay came into the Hall of Parliament with Sir William and Sir Walter, everyone was so happy and proud. Everyone wanted to know where they had received the letter from Sir Gareth. Sir Kay replied that he was heading to the West Country for some time and would send it.
James Ruggatt was present at this meeting, who was an old friend of Sir Gareth's. He was very upset with this news. He felt that Sir Gareth should have been sent on more important missions and Sir Gareth had promised to send him some more. He felt that Sir Gareth had lost faith in the British Army and Sir Gareth should have continued to fight for the Queen and for the country, but Sir Gareth told him that the King was busy fighting the war. He also told him that they would need a good fighter to fight the war. Then Sir Gareth sent James Ruggatt off to become a great warrior.
A few months later James Ruggatt found that the war was over and the British Army was in great shape. He then asked Sir Gareth if he would like to go to France and fight for the French. Sir Gareth replied that he did not think that it would be possible and it was not the best idea. James went off to become a great soldier again. He went on to be the Duke of Wellington.
